Welcome to Phantom Burger & Brewery

Phantom Burger is more than just a burger joint, this is a place for connection, built around the power of the smash. The brewery was founded by Bo. The brewery started in Hartford, CT and moved to Higganum. That is when Bo reached out to Chris at Taino Smokehouse to bring food to the new location. Bo knew Chris from a pickup flag football game at Wesleyan University, they played together for years. Chris was thrilled for the opportunity because his father, Richard, was one of the original founders of Glockenspiel Restaurant, in Higganum. Richard didn't stay too many years and moved on to Pratt. So long story short, that is how Phantom Burger & Brewery was formed. Chris & Bo worked long and hard perfecting these smash burgers using brisket tallow from the smokehouse. Make no mistake, not only is Bo an amazing brewmaster, Bo is also a foodie, from cheese making to bee keeping, no stone has been left unturned in the exploration of local production. The reward for Bo & Chris, is seeing the joy on people's faces after they take their first bite of a smash burger and a cold sip of beer. It wasn't just about the food; it was about the shared experience, the laughter, and the connections forged over a truly great meal. Community is valued, and a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels like family is created. We are so happy to be in Higganum.
